–Science club meets Monday after school until 4:00 in Mrs Elhart’s room.  We will be growing some bacteria. Join us!!
— Students!  Are you ready for Spring Break??  Will you be traveling??  Will you need something to help you relax??  If you answered yes to any of these questions, we have the answer for you!  ZHS Art students have created the most spectacular coloring book to help you free your mind while coloring your way into relaxation! Something to keep you busy on the plane, the beach or even home. Add some colored pencils or markers to make a unique gift or Easter basket.  High school students will be available during lunch March 28 and 29th (Tuesday/Wednesday) selling each book for ONLY $8!!!! Bring your money next week for this fabulous book!
–8th Grade Students attending Washington DC: You have an incredibly important meeting next Wednesday, March 29 during DEAR in the chix coop.  Do not miss it!
–Homework Party will not meet NEXT Thursday, March 30.
–Students, If you would like your iPad repaired over spring break please turn it into Mrs. Maat by noon on Wednesday, March 29.
 –Lost and found is by the office please take a look for anything you are missing…everything left will be donated during spring break.
–Final Art Club meeting will be held on Thursday, April 13.  The meeting will be open to all 6th, 7th , and 8th graders in Art Club.  We will meet from 2:45-4:00pm.

–If your child will not be in school you MUST call the attendance line at 748-3205. Please call every day they are out unless you have filled out a vacation slip stating you will be on vacation.  Thank you!
Performing Arts Scholarship Applications are now available on the Performing Arts webpage found at https://sites.google.com/a/zps.org/zps-performing-arts/scholarships.  Students  may apply for Summer Study Scholarships which are awarded to performing arts students who plan to study the arts over the summer with private lessons or at camp. Please ask your performing arts teacher if you have any questions. Application deadlines are in April. Please be sure to read all material carefully. (4.21)
–Eighth grade students with dance experience who are planning to attend Zeeland East or West, and who are interested in taking Dance as an elective, should visit the dance webpage for detailed audition information. https://sites.google.com/a/zps.org/zeeland-east-west-high-schools-dance-program/dance-ensemble/audition-information.  Auditions are required for placement in Dance II, III, IV, or Dance Ensemble.  Auditions will be on Thursday, April 27 at 3 PM in the ZEHS dance studio. To prepare for auditions you should attend workshops from 3 – 4 PM on April 18, 20, and 25. Email  Mrs. Clyde  at  nclyde@zps.org with any questions.

–Congratulations to ALL of the DEAR classes that participated in our Be Nice door decorating contest!  We had a panel of 12 judges and the competition was fierce!  Great job~ the message is the most important thing to remember, and for that, everyone is a winner!  Let’s live out the message of Be Nice!   There was a 3-way tie for 2nd place: Mrs. Schuur, Mrs. Gauthier and Ms. Wheeler all tied for 2nd place.   1st place goes to…. Ms. Genzink’s DEAR class!  These 4 DEAR classes will receive a small treat in DEAR tomorrow.

–Due to cold weather this afternoon we will be canceling track practice.  Tomorrow looks much better and we will be planning on practice back at the high school.
–Due to cold weather Tennis is cancelled today.
