–8th graders:  You have 4 days to turn in your $50.00 non-refundable deposit to Mrs. Maat.  Please make sure you have the student name on the payment… (checks are made payable to Cityside Middle School).

–Science Club will meet Today, October 23. We meet after school until 4:00 in room 113, Mrs Elhart’s room.  Any Cityside student is welcome to join us!

Competitive Cheerleading tryouts are this week!  Tryouts will be Tuesday and Thursday from 4pm-6pm in the Chix Coop.  All 7th & 8th grade girls are invited to try out.  No experience necessary.  Cheer is a club sport, so there is a fee to participate.  You must have your final forms completed to try out.  Email Coach Beka at zeelandcheer@gmail.com with questions.
 
 PARENTS’ INFORMATION—-
——SPORT SIGN-UPS:  New this year,  all signups will be done online in the Final Forms www.zeeland-mi.finalforms.com. Parents and students need to register once a year for all your sports you will be playing or think you might want to play. Please check your mail/spam mail for confirmation once you have originally signed into Final Forms to confirm your account.  You can also link Final Forms through the cityside.zps.org website under athletics, or you may pick up a hard copy of the Final Forms instructions by the CBC room or in the office at Cityside. Like in the past,  we need a current 2017-2018 physical dated from the doctor after April 15 of current year to be eligible for all sports. Thank you!
The Zeeland High Players are presenting two family classics this fall: “Treasure Island” and “Charlotte’s Web.”  Treasure Island will run October 26 & 27 at 6:30PM and October 28 at 1PM.  Charlotte’s Web will follow on November 2 & 3 at 6:30PM and November 4 at 1PM.  Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for senior citizens.  Student tickets are $5. Call 748.3111 to purchase by phone with a credit card or visit www.zeelandhighplayers.com to purchase by mail.  Tickets will also be available at the door 45 minutes prior to curtain.

–School doors open at 7:00am.  We ask that all students not with a coach or a teacher are picked up or leave the building by 3:00pm.

–Any message needing to get to a student must be received by 1:15pm.  We call students down at the beginning of their 6th hr during announcement so we are not disturbing classroom instruction time.
–If your child will not be in school you MUST call the attendance line at 748-3205. Reminder – if your child will be out of school, you may email their teachers, but you also need to call the attendance line or office. Thanks!

The mobile dental unit provides free dental services for financially-qualifying children.  Please contact our office at 1-800-467-5905 to schedule a dental appointment for your child (ren) at a nearby school. Consent forms for our dental services are available on our website: http://www.miottawa.org/dental.

–Homework Party, a time and place where any Cityside student can work quietly on homework and assignments will begin Tuesday, September 12. Homework Party runs Tuesday“s, Wednesday’s and Thursday’s right after school until 3:30 pm. Once a student signs into Homework Party they will be expected to stay with the group until dismissed at 3:30. Students can come any day, no preregistration is necessary. Homework Party is hosted in room 113 (Mrs Elhart’s classroom).
