–“All books are due to be returned to the media center on Friday.  Please get your books returned before bills go out next week.”

–The 7th grade girls soccer finished out their season with a 6-0 win over West Ottawa. Lainey Canan led the scoring with a hat-trick. Paige Gregory scored 2 goals. Joy Miller added a goal as well. Recording assists were Joy Miller with 3 and Paige Gregory, Katelyn Inman, and Lainey Canan all with 1.  The girls finished with a record of 9-2-1. They scored 31 goals this season and set a school record by only giving up 4 goals all year. Congrats to the whole team and especially defenders Hayley Jones, Grace Steenwyk and Makayla Dernberger along with goalkeepers Elly Hart and Katie Keegstra for an outstanding defensive accomplishment.  The girls would like to thank all of our opponents from other schools for helping us learn and improve throughout the season. Coach would like to thank this year’s team for a fun season playing the beautiful game.

–Champion Chix Reception is next Wednesday, May 31 @ 1:45pm!  Congratulations to all those who had no late or missing assignments and no tardies or behavioral reports for 3 1/2 terms!  The list is posted in the cafeteria if you are unsure if your name is on the list.  Next Wednesdayyou will report to the cafeteria after 5th hr. to line up.

–All 6th and 7th grade girls and parents interested in sideline cheer in the fall should plan on attending the Parent Informational Meeting next Tuesday, May 30, at 6:30 in the Zeeland East Cafeteria.  You will be able to submit your registration form and get all of your questions about the season answered. If you cannot attend the meeting or have questions, please email Coach Beka at zeelandcheer@gmail.com
Attention all current 6th grade and current 7th grade boys interested in playing middle school soccer next fall as 7th graders and 8th graders, There will be an informational meeting in Band Room after school on Next Wednesday May 31. The meeting will go about 30 minutes. Any questions please contact Coach TerLaan at sam.terlaan@gentex.com

–Attention 6th & 7th graders:  If you are interested in being part of the LINKS program next school year, please complete an application which can be picked up in the front office.  LINKS are students who support peers with special needs.  Applications need to be completed and turned into the front office by May 31.  Please see Mr. Roskamp if you have any questions

 –The middle school girls track competed at the MKO Conference Meet Wednesday night. There were a total of 17 teams there competing. The 7th grade girls placed 11th out of 17, and the 8th grade girls placed 6th out of 17 teams overall.  Congrats to all middle school girls track members on a very successful and great season!!

–The Cityside Choirs invite you to “Be Our Guest” as we take you on a “Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride” through all your favorite Disney classics.  Be sure that “You’ve Got a Friend” and join us at 7:30PM on Wednesday, May 24  in DeWitt Auditorium. Prepare to experience “A Whole New World” of music and a whole new side of our choir students.  They will really “Go the Distance” at this concert!   Until then… “Hakuna —

–Mrs. Landes is giving a huge shout out to the dancers at both Creekside and Cityside who participated in the spring dance concert on Saturday.  The dancers did an amazing job with all 10 dances!  Mrs. Landes is proud of each dancer for their hard work in preparing for the concert and dancing on stage.  Don’t forget that DVD forms are due on Wednesday with payment if you would like a keepsake on your spring dance concert experience.
