BUS TAGS – Please turn your bus tag in at the office before the end of the day on Friday.  If it does not get turned in, you will be charged $10.00 next fall.

-Attention Middle School Football players – football camp is next week. Tuesday June 12 – Thursday June 14.  9:30am -11:30am.  We need all players there ! You can sign up that day!
–attention all 6/7th graders interest in cross country next fall there will be a meeting at 7:15 tomorrow morning in the gathering area look for Mr. Draeger

–To update/log in to Final Forms:

1.  The emails from Final Forms are going through properly to any student with a @stu2.zps.org account.

2.  For those kids having issues logging in, they should go to the login page, at https://zeeland-mi.finalforms.com/students/login .  They should then choose “Never logged in”.  This will take them to a password reset page.
3.  When the prompt for a new password comes in, please use their School issued “Birthday” password.
4.  They can login to Final Forms as normal, and they will be good to go.

–If your child has any medication at school please make sure you come and pick it up. Any medication left after June 22 will be disposed of.
SPORT SIGN-UPS:  All signups will be done online in the Final Forms www.zeeland-mi.finalforms.com. Parents and students need to register once a year for all your sports you will be playing or think you might want to play. Please check your mail/spam mail for confirmation once you have originally signed into Final Forms to confirm your account.  You can also link Final Forms through the cityside.zps.org website under athletics, or you may pick up a hard copy of the Final Forms instructions by the CBC room or in the office at Cityside. Like in the past we need a current 2018-2019 physical dated from the doctor after April 15 of current year to be eligible for all sports. Thank you!

–5th – 8th grade GirlsLooking for something educational and fun? Camp Infinity is a weeklong summer technology camp for girls entering 5th to 8th grade that introduces technology as fun and fulfilling and inspires the pursuit of technology education.

Founded in 2004, Camp Infinity helps spark girls’ interest in math and science, which tends to decrease during middle-school years.

-8th grade students and parents: To honor our 8th graders, we have a student event called Celebr8 on the last morning of school during the school day.  We will honor our 8th graders with a breakfast and student gathering.  The event is for students only, but parents may come from 10:30-10:45 if you wish to take pictures of your child with his or her friends at the end of the breakfast.  We will miss this class of 8th graders!
CHIX BOYS BASKETBALL SKILLS CAMP
When: June 11-14 (2 hours a day)
Where: Zeeland East High School
Why: This camp is designed to work on skills to make your son become a better overall basketball player. The camp runs for two hours a day for 4 days. The camp is lead by the Varsity coaching staff and Varsity basketball players at Zeeland East. Players will leave the camp with a better understanding of the skills needed to become a better all around player. If your son loves the game or even if they are just now showing interest in playing basketball, this camp is for them.

-Lost and Found... It will be donated at the end of the school year so please check to make sure that what is in the Lost and Found is not yours…

–The Zeeland High Players are hosting The Young Americans performing arts camp August 14-18 at the high school as a fundraiser for the arts. Students third grade through college are invited to attend one of the premiere performing arts camps in the country!  Each camp culminates in a two-hour performance for the community. By learning a show in just five days, students are able to learn teamwork, discover their individual potential, and walk away with a huge sense of accomplishment at the end of the week, all in an encouraging and positive atmosphere! Registration information can be found at the website: www.youngamericans.org.

–Today is the day! All 6th and 7th graders interested in sideline cheer in the fall should plan on attending the meeting tonight at 6:30 in the cafeteria. Email Coach Beka at zeelandcheer@gmail.com if you have questions or cannot attend. All are welcome!  Just a reminder that Cheer is a club sport and there is a fee to participate.
–8th grade boys! There is a soccer meeting at 3:00 Thursday for players only @ Zeeland East Cafeteria. Players can turn in summer soccer forms at the meeting.  –The compassionate heart get together on Thursday for boys interested in playing high school soccer has been canceled. More information on the new date and time to come! Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

–Students, just a reminder that ALL library materials are due back to the media center.  If you have any books still out, please get them turned in.  Bills for missing books will be sent home next week!

CHIX BOYS BASKETBALL SKILLS CAMP

When: June 11-14 (2 hours a day)
Where: Zeeland East High School
Why: This camp is designed to work on skills to make your son become a better overall basketball player. The camp runs for two hours a day for 4 days. The camp is lead by the Varsity coaching staff and Varsity basketball players at Zeeland East. Players will leave the camp with a better understanding of the skills needed to become a better all around player. If your son loves the game or even if they are just now showing interest in playing basketball, this camp is for them.

–All 6th and 7th grade girls who are interested in sideline cheer in the fall should plan on attending the cheer meeting Thursday the 31st at 6:30 in the Cityside Cafeteria. All are welcome, no experience is necessary! Email Coach Beka at zeelandcheer@gmail.com if you have questions or if you are unable to attend the meeting.
–8th grade boys! There is a soccer meeting at 3:00 Thursday for players only. Players can turn in summer soccer forms at the meeting. After the meeting, instead of having training from 5:15-6:30 we will be hosting compassionate heart for an hour of soccer games and competitions from 3:45-4:45. If you can make it, GREAT! Bring any kind of supersoaker you might have!
Any boys interested in playing 7th or 8th grade soccer, there is a sign up sheet outside CBC.
–High school colorguard auditions for the 2018-2019 school year are on Tuesday June 5 at 3pm in the high school band room.  You must have band on your schedule in order to audition for colorguard.  Please talk to or e-mail Mrs. Landes with questions.
-Lost and Found... It will be donated at the end of the school year so please check to make sure that what is in the Lost and Found is not yours…
–Homework Party: Homework Party last day is next week Thursday, May 31

-8th grade students and parents: To honor our 8th graders, we have a student event called Celebr8 on the last morning of school during the school day.  We will honor our 8th graders with a breakfast and student gathering.  The event is for students only, but parents may come from 10:30-10:45 if you wish to take pictures of your child with his or her friends at the end of the breakfast.  We will miss this class of 8th graders!
—-If you will be in 7th-12th grade next year, you are invited to participate in the EDGE program this summer at Zeeland East.  See the attached flyer for details.

SPORT SIGN-UPS:  All signups will be done online in the Final Forms www.zeeland-mi.finalforms.com. Parents and students need to register once a year for all your sports you will be playing or think you might want to play. Please check your mail/spam mail for confirmation once you have originally signed into Final Forms to confirm your account.  You can also link Final Forms through the cityside.zps.org website under athletics, or you may pick up a hard copy of the Final Forms instructions by the CBC room or in the office at Cityside. Like in the past we need a current 2018-2019 physical dated from the doctor after April 15 of current year to be eligible for all sports. Thank you!

Wednesday afternoon is the Champion Chix Reception.  If you have been on the Champion Chix list all 4 terms please report to the cafeteria after 5th hr.  to line up.  Check the list posted in the cafeteria for your name.

You will also be able to turn in registration for ZEST, Summer Scrimmages, and PSV. Parents do not need to come to this meeting they are welcome if they want. See you May 31.

–We are excited to announce that the futurePREP’d IChallengeUth Application is officially open.  Students can start applying!The program this year will run from Monday, July 30 through Friday, August 3.  Students will be immersed in local businesses to help them solve a challenge utilizing design thinking and practicing their Skills4Success.  Students can be in 6-8th grade for the program.  Lunch is provided but students must have their own transportation.  If this is an issue, please connect with us and we can hopefully help!  I have attached an overview flyer for the program to this email.  The application link is:  www.futureprepd.com
